oooh tough choice...

cram what I could in my handbag, sling it over my shoulder and pick up the PC tower on the way out
??????

Does that mean all the cats would fit into your handbag?

BIG handbag or small cats.

It would have to be my maternal grandfathers wallet and coat hanger. I know a coat hanger sounds odd but it's probably 100+ years old. Mums side of the family come from a poorer part of Poland. The coat hanger would have been the only one he had and it would have been for his only suit for sunday best.

The wallet although now probably too delecate for use would have been a prized possesion, bit of a posh and gentlemanly thing to have at the time particuarly for a farmer. If only those items could talk, would have witnessed everyday life there and also the uphevals of Austo-hungarian empire, The German invasions, then the Russians.

Other wise I'm proud to say family say I resemble him in character a lot, only met him when I was 4 when the family went over for my Aunts wedding

Paintings, as many as I could grab, including one my late father inherited and gave me (because I always like it) and others he painted himself.
