As regards to the cat gif - that is one of my all time favs - and I used it as an av for many years dating back to what must be about 2001.

Someone made this one specially for me 'as a pressie' several years ago - where it leaves paw prints behind..  it doesnt work well on a white background..  but you can see it best on black on this page

... note the little black paw-prints which are the same ones which I made for the site fav.icon back in about 2002 when the site was very much in its infancy
- and way before it even held anything about adsl

yep indeedy..  back in about 2003.   Long story but I had to take a 'crash course' on adsl and how it worked.. when there wasnt hardly anything anywhere about it on the internet, and as 'a swap' for me doing something with BT SFI, I asked a lot of questions.

Rizla was about one of the others... and unbeknown to me he at the same time was also trying to produce something and was actually drawing something up too.
I only saw what he did last year..  and I said to him why the hell didnt you publish it, and he said I'd beaten him to it. 
Rizla must also get due credit because he's the person that did the one for adslguide (now ThinkBroadband).

Anyway Kitz, my last question was tongue in cheek... 2003 was the year I went onto broadband, and back then it cost £50 up front for installation/supply of modem.

yeah me too - going rate back then was a lot more expensive to get adsl 

My first bill - (which was a bit more expensive because I opted for a router rather than modem).

ADSL Initial Charge (including ADSL hardware Starter Pack)  £128.56  £22.50(vat)  £151.06

I think I was paying something like £30 a month back then for 512 k.

Must have been 2004/2005.  I did the kitzophrenic site in 2004, when kitz started getting more of the techy stuff.  I havent touched kitzophrenic since 2005 (havent had time to).
