Good morning.

It is a lovely day, bright and clear, blue skies but very chilly and frosty.........lovely for a good walk which TD is setting out to do shortly.

The village had a combined Halloween party and bonfire night yesterday evening, it was great........the wee ones had a ball, everybody behaved, the fireworks were a treat and hopefully the fireworks are out of the system and that no-one will do their own thing.........I hate it when the firework season goes on for what seems like weeks......not at all good for the animals.

Nice that you enjoyed the party last night, good that they combined the two events I should think.  As you rightly say, fireworks are not good for the animals especially when some people think firework night goes from one month before to one month after which I know happens in a lot of places.  I always feel sorry for the poor birds roosting in the trees, must make their lives hell poor souls (amongst all the other animals too).

Enjoy your walk.  After all the pouring rain, north easterly wind and nasty conditions yesterday, there's fog and it's cold out today...brrr... so if you can spare us a little sun here I don't think we'd complain.

Bonfire and fireworks display was very good last night. The Manager actually used her bus pass for the first time to get there so that I could have a couple of warming drinks afterwards. Even checked the bus timetable to plan our exit from the hostelry in time to get home.

Off to The Kenlis with family for a birthday meal (etc) at 4pm.

Sun is shining and there is only a slight breeze today. Any darker looking clouds appear to be moving over towards France.
