Friday 31st Chat -
« on: October 31, 2008, 06:56:14 AM »

Morning all,

Back from the fray yesterday at the hosp...prefer not to get my money's worth from the NHS TD.... :( I'm medical phobic, but no one would think it... with a chronic ailment though I guess we don't have a choice...ugh.  Just a note....when a particular nurse sees us there she asks, "which one is the patient today?"....scream....!!

Hope you are all keeping warm and dry, we actually had a storm here yesterday - trust me to be out in it...ugh.... not sure what the weather is doing today though but it sure is cold.  May I share your fireside TD, it looked so inviting on the piccy that was put on the other thread....?

Have a good day whatever you've got planned.

Chrissie

Morning all.

I'd planned to do some machete work on an overgrown clematis today, but it's pelting with rain so maybe another day. It looks as though the cherry tree is just about ready to do its annual trick of dropping all its leaves in the pond. :( I wish I could afford to employ a gardener.

Oh well, probably another day lazing around indoors. Perhaps I'll finish the 'fiendish' sudoku today. :)

I've just been watching the video on the BBC website of the horrendous weather they had in Devon yesterday,  :o so I don't think I'll complain about our spot of rain.  The sun is actually just peeping above the housetops so it could be another fine one.

I've got a bit of sewing to do today, not for me but I'm the first person who apparently springs to mind when my family need anything making ::)  Oh well, it's nice to be useful for something

Morning from a bright, sunny albeit very cold and frosty Scotland...........going to be another very nice and sharp day.......bracing.  :)

You are more than welcome at the TD fireside, chrissie............don't forget to bring the bottle  ;)

Yes, autumn leaves all over the place now, seems to be a constant job raking them up just for more to arrive.

Will go for a walk this am complete with cameras etc as the colours on the hills are superb just now, try and get some good landscapes.

Enjoy your day....................don't prick your fingers with any needles now !

ps Just had some good news via snail-mail from my Doctor..............I can drive again. Great, no more buses.  :D

At least the rain here has produced some beauty. This rather magnificent rainbow appeared earlier:

Well done TD, I was recently unable to drive due to my broken wrist, and it was terrible, even though I had my husband as a chauffeur so was better off than you, not having to rely on the bus

Lovely, great pic. of a double rainbow.
Nature in it's glory can still beat the best works of man.
Thank you for sharing.

(ps you have lots of dust on your camera sensor.. :( )

The picture was taken through a window which had drops of rain on it :)

By the way, I didn't notice your comment about driving. Good news and as Anne said, well done. :)

I'm obsessed with dust on sensors...........well when you smoke a pipe and are constantly changing lenses at the same time it is bound to weigh on your mind....tobacco ash on sensors, my worst chimera.  :(

Also, as you can see, my wee pal Robbie (  ) is annoyed with me as I forgot to buy his mealworms today. He'll just have to find his own  :(

He looks just like my Robbie. He likes cheese, which is easier for the squeamish (me) to handle.
