As Roseway has said, as there are no wires connected to the faceplate but you have extensions in your house, they must have been wired incorrectly.

Therefore, connecting via the tester socket is making no difference if the extension is wired on the master socket end.

Only if your extension wiring is connected to the faceplate you removed to gain access to the Test Socket.
It should be, but not as you described it..... :o

On speed test websites like broadbandspeedchecker i get results of down 6600 and up 1000 but when i download off Rapidshare or other servers i get 830kb/s and with internet download manager i get 900kb/s.

That's about right... speedtest websites usually report your speed in kilo BITS per second (thousands of bits per second).

Browsers and download managers report speed as kilo BYTES per second (where 8 bits = 1 byte).

So really... 6600 kb/s divided by 8 = 825 kB/s, which is about the same as what you see on a single threaded download from Rapidshare.

Download managers open up several connections to download the same file, therefore you normally end up getting a faster download rate anyway, so everything looks to be in pretty good order for your sync speed :)
