James Bond bargain (unfortunately not)
« on: October 15, 2008, 12:05:23 PM »

In case any of you read about the bargain DVD set from Play.com and wanted to get it, unfortunately it turns out to be a typo on their web site and the price should be £99.99, not £9.99. As requested by UncleUB I've deleted the thread. What a pity. :'(

I see theyve now amended their website.

This might soften the blow, especially if you like Alfred Hitchcock movies.

As they (whoever they are) say, if it sounds too good to be true, then...........
you know the rest.

It is a bit of a shame though. Me and SWMBO, just found a set of 3 James Bond films for £5.99 in one of the local supermarkets, Morrisons, I think. One each of Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan. Each of them is a 2 disc set, so you get all the gory details and interviews if you want them.

ymmv, but there do seem to be some deals around on older DVDs a the moment

P.S. That deal at Zavvi looks pretty good, though doesn't it

Slightly OT, but I read recently that the James Bond "Golden Gun" worth £80,000 has recently been stolen from the studios' in London.  :police:
