Just tried out a few of the tutorials on the site and tried obtaining the router stats for my Netgear 834G
I know rate is my current sync rate but what does this line mean - Max(Kbps):      5056            864

Theres an explanation on the main site of what all those figures mean

For the top part of the stats:
Line stats explanation  and the bottom bit is a record of the different types of errors encountered by your router..

But basically
Quote
Max(Kbps):      5056            864
is an estimation by your router of your maximum sync speed based on the current conditions on a fixed speed line.

TBH though if you maximise your line as best you can.. then theres a good chance that on maxdsl or adsl2+ then you may get more, as the they work slightly different.
