M&S scam
« on: October 09, 2008, 04:20:27 PM »

I received an e mail from my sister today, regarding free M&S vouchers for forwarding the email to 8 friends.  I immediately smelled a rat and checked on line, and found it was a scam, as I expected

The odd thing is that when I went to look at the e mail again, although I had deleted it, it wasn't in my deleted folder.  In fact it isn't anywhere.  Could there have been something dodgy in it which caused it to act like that?

I did of course let my sister know it was a scam, but not before she'd spread several e mail addresses about >:(

It's quite possible that your email program is configured to permanently delete items in the deleted folder when you exit from the program.
