If I click away from, then return to the Router Stats Page I see, momentarily, a prompt for a password, then that pane is blank.

Maybe the password (which is confirmed, and is saved in my configuration for RouterStats) is not passed to the router in a way that's acceptable by the router. This issue is reported in the forum for RouterStats.
