I don't think they're related but Sam's site is well respected, and Kitz' exchange and line checker uses some information from Sam's database (with his full permission of course). It will be interesting to read his report.

No we're not related, but do have a mutual respect for each other.
SamKnows has been going for a long time and he originally built an application back in the early days of adsl which monitored which exchanges were going live and has since built up on that. 

His site is an excellent resource, so well done Sam
