Worst Migration I ever had..
« on: December 07, 2006, 12:00:40 PM »

Good name for a blues song  ;)

Put my MAC in from PN.
Zen said fine, Tuesday 6th December which came and went.

I 'phoned Zen CS today and after being transferred etc, they said it had completed their end and they had word from BT it had completed, but for some reason (BT's system was suggested) it actually hadn't completed  :o

Zen said they would phone BT and get back to me this afternoon, or tomorrow morning.
All it needs is for PN to cut me off now  :(

It sounds has though BT have messed up. Zen are very good at dealing with customer technical problems, so they should get you sorted in short order.

Hope so .

I wonder what would have happened if I hadn't 'phoned them ?

weird one, but not unknown :(

BT have obviously messed up somewhere..  a straight forward migration involves no intervention from the loosing ISP once they have generated your MAC.

If you still have sync and a PPP session with PN then it sounds like BT haven't updated their SSB list correctly. :/

There is sometimes an overlap between putting your new ISP on the list and them taking your old one off.
Hopefully BT can get it sorted soon..  since its a remote change, then it shouldnt take too long for them to sort out. :)

To give PN their due, they said there would be no cutoff until it went through, and they didn't.
Of course, then they deleted my mail/dial-up account and only put it back after PUG intervention.
