I note that this router has a facility to detect intrusions.

There are many options listed. Is there a tutorial that explains these functions?

Can this facility detect if anyone is using the bandwidth who should not be using it?

You may be able to find a guide on the Thomson website. And NO. It will not monitor bandwidth as far as I am aware.
