Three's local masts have been giving me problems recently. They have been noticeably slower than usual with diaboical single-thread speeds in the single figures. Even on 5G, speedtests have usually settled at 30 Mbps.
Well, looks like the local Vodafone network is now MOCN. Got the 5G router connected to the closest mast and speeds are comfortably above 200 Mbps, pushing even above 300 Mbps in a less optimal location.
I could probably fiddle with the bands and cell locking to try and get a better bandwidth configuration, but I would rather not lose the ability to switch masts in an outage.
Part of me wishes I had purchased a larger data allowance, but this should be fine. I hope they do not mess this up!
