My connection to the 2hi.co.uk email server went down this morning and John's own Doc2Disk email address is also down.  I've been unable to contact John by phone either.

Has anyone got any insight or made contact with John?

I have been in contact with the ever-friendly John and both he and his family are doing ok.  Today's brief outage was due to some overly sensitive monitoring thresholds set by the VPS owner.  Things are being resolved, albeit with the usual 'joys' of working with AI support.

Update.
Just added this to my other post.

With no response from my FTTP isp NoOne I had to emailed John last night and my IP was being blocked by Johns setup (not sure why ) .
He quickly unblocked it and my emails are working also the login to my domain But no access to my emails settings. on  https://2hi.co.uk:2443/siteworx/ just times out.
I did not want to bother him again but it looks like I am going to have to contact again.

I've started building a list of where I could move to. First two I had on my list were https://www.eukhost.com/ and https://www.webhosting.uk.com/. Spotted something on Google about them - address of Eukhost is Suite 3.03, Regency House, York, North Yorkshire, YO26 6RW and webhosting's address is the same. Both part of the Hyperslice Group.

Has anyone experience of either of these?

I don't know them but, as I may have said before, for historical reasons have ended up here paying £36pa: https://ukwebsolutionsdirect.co.uk/uk-web-hosting.php

I dont know what the going rate for basic hosting these days or what you are wanting, but I do know its becoming increasingly difficult to find decent webhosts who offer cPanel accounts based in the UK.  After the disaster with Go Daddy/123reg I cant say how happy I am to be back in the hands of decent hosts again.

Stablepoint was set by Dom Taylor quite soon after TSO sold out to Go Daddy.  Dom was the original guy behind Vidahost, starting out old style like how it was typically done back in the 00s running from parents garage kind of thing whilst he was still at college. I dont usually like making recommendations in case anything goes wrong but I wish I had known sooner that he'd not fully left the webhosting industry, but personally I'm glad he did and happy to find out that Seb, the other Vidahost starter, also works there and they have grown to a respectable size with their own future proof network. I'm on one of the business accounts so cant speak for their shared packages but I do know how wonderful if is not to worry about the server.  When I look back it was a complete nightmare at one point i was waking up every morning at 5.30am because the site would be dead and the server needed rebooting. Staff know what they are talking about. Now it just works.. see tracert below

If you do go with them I would be really greatful if you could use my link, Im not sure how much it pays but I really would be greatful as every single penny received goes towards hosting kitz.co.uk

I now use Krystal Hosting as they took over my original host some time ago. Been very happy with them and they seem to have good customer support and have knowledgeable people staffing it. Is does require two factor authentication for accessing your hosting account and cpanel. I use it to host my website and all our email, not sure if the just do an email only hosting though.

We use them at work, also historical reasons, we were with M247 which was taken over by UK Websolutions, but it's only a couple of domain names we have with them.

Only issues I've had are some weird billing issues, that may even stem from M247.

I only need email hosting, so this may be a good solution as the cheapest package has 3GB of storage, I was looking at AA but that only had 1 GB and more expensive.

Yes I had some billing "glitches" but they were sorted without any aggravation.

If this was 10 years ago I would have offered to host people, but I have my own real life issues now and my hosting platform, I prefer to not have people relying on me, so I didnt jump in here.  It is good a solution was put up for kitz members on his platform.
