Closing company end of September
« on: August 28, 2025, 12:50:17 PM »

Hi

It is with regret that I have to let everyone know I will be ceasing trading at the end of September due to family circumstances.

I do have obligations which I need to continue for another Years though, so if users wish to continue, I will move you over with the other domains/services I need to continue

If anyone prefers not to continue, I understand and please let me know so I can help with any moving you need to do.

If anyone requires a refund, please let me know and it will be prorate basis and paid immediately.

I am sorry for the relative short notice, but it has taken a while to fully sink in after over a lifetime of working.

Many thanks

John

I would also like to express my thanks to John, and wish him, and his family the best for the future.

He's provided an excellent service to my family for over six years, we would also like to continue.

Our's is up for renewal in February, and I presume can't be renewed, so would appreciate some suggestions for alternatives, and guidance for moving please.

I paid for another year earlier today, before I saw the notice. Yes I'd like to continue until I sort something else out please.

It's been a great service; John is really helpful. Thank you.

Has anyone any suggestions on where we could move our domains to in the next few months?

I've started looking around - £4 - £5 a month seems to be about the rate.

Looking for similar services to John's the following look possibilities:

eukhost
webhostinguk
hostxnow
ecohosting

Anyone experience of any of these? Other suggestions?

I moved my domains to AAISP, registration, DNS and light usage email £3.60 per month per domain. Their control pages permit comprehensive control over the domain settings.

I use UK Web Solutions Direct https://ukwebsolutionsdirect.co.uk/uk-web-hosting.php which starts at £3 per month.
To be totally clear I didn't actually choose them, but I'm happy there since moving a year ago. I've had domains registered since about 1996 and in recent years (decades) my hosting companies have been merged or taken over and this is where I've ended up! At each change I've reviewed my options and decided moving was not worth the hassle or potential minimal savings.

Hi

Thank you all for your kind words and apologies for delay.  I have been very busy and still am with emails and phone calls whilst having to look after Karen

The closure date has been extended to end of October as time has got the better of me

I have received so many emails that I may have lost track of early emails but I will be going back through all emails so please bear with me

I will be transferring kitz users to new platform on a VPS withiin the next 10 days or less, but will email first to make sure alright to do so first.

Many thanks

John
