Openreach - "We are building in your area"

Hello XXX (obviously my real name is Chunkers  ;D),

We have a new update for Tenbury Wells, XXXX XXX - we're building in your area.

You might have seen our vans in your area as our engineers are working to upgrade our broadband network to Full Fibre. Our plans to build to this property aren't confirmed yet, but they could be soon. We're aiming to build to 25 million homes and businesses by December 2026 and we're not stopping there. We intend to keep building after that too. That's further and faster than any other broadband network in the UK.

We'll let you know as soon as Full Fibre is available so you can upgrade to the UK's most reliable broadband technology. And with the UK's biggest choice of broadband providers you'll find a package and price to suit you.

Weird email, its sent to me and says "we are building in your area" and at the same time "our plans to build to this property aren't confirmed yet"

Annoying ....

Are there any tell-tale signs I should look out for?  The vans are always running about the place, I'm not sure that would tell me much ...

I have received the same, there is a few CBTs appearing on poles around the village but not near me.
We will have to wait and see.

Are you poles or underground?
If poles look for the dead hedgehog at the top of the pole. Also called a consumer unit!
If you're are under ground the look for loose manhole covers or the grass removed from the seal!
Otherwise I would suggest motion sensitive cameras to photograph every passed buy!  ;)
It's just a thought! Honest!
Dwight.

They must be doing a mass mailout, I got "we'll be building in your area in the next year" in an Openreach email this morning.
It also said "You'll soon see our vans as our engineers will be working to upgrade the broadband network to Full Fibre. Our plans to build to this property aren't confirmed yet, but they could be soon."

There has been zero evidence and absolutely no published plans for our exchange up to now.

We have ducts running up the other side of the road and poles at intervals with overhead drop wires from them to the properties.

The online checker confirms this and offers speeds up to 1600mbps download.
