if you get packet loss on FTTP connection and its on a wired connection and its happening over using ethernet cable, what could be causing it? Speed is fine, latency is fine.

If its a problem with the line would you see more problems such as low speed or connection dropping?

I keep getting packet loss and Im trying to figure out why, my speed is good my latency is good. its just the packet loss.

It is a new connection I have only had the services for about 3 days. could it be it just needs to stabilize itself?

I ping google 100 times and it shows 0 packet loss. but when I play on a games console connected to ethernet I get packet loss. tried different games i get the same problems.

In that scenario its likely either the game servers themselves or a problem at your ISP.

Could it be if you live Rural that you could get latency variations and packet loss on FTTP?

Maybe set up a BQM to monitor your connection:

Knowing the ISP is important here, they not all equal, and actually far from it.

Some of the new players who are single homed to cogent have had multiple issues reported in recent times related to problematic cogent routing.
