DLM intervention during the day?
« on: February 01, 2025, 05:04:26 PM »

Hi

I gather from reading various things online that DLM intervention used to happen (i.e. causing a resync) during the night, but nowadays can happen at any time. However, other people seem to think that's not the case.

Is there any reliable info to confirm which is correct (for FTTC connections at least)?

Thanks.

The only time I've seen DLM intervention during the day is if there is some form of event to trigger it - eg very high errors due to a fault or storm. Following such an event any restorative action has always then taken place at night.

My SoGEA DLM actioned three times after 1am, SNR reduced, Rx High adjustment etc. I remember back to Plusnet FTTC it use to be DLM actioned after 1pm (to removed Rx High, Banded on the line) etc
