ON the BIDB.UK map already, didn't expect that!
Nothing on the Thinkbroard map yet.
Even though they actually plot different things, Think is covered post codes, BIDB is active postcodes.
So, wait to see how the instalation goes.

Monday 2/12
Well that didn't go so well, Red flag for H&S on my address by Netomnia awaiting a call backl as to why.

Tuesday 3/12
So Ted Customer OP Ex, tells me I booked Youfibre, but they didn't book Netomnia's pre instalation visit! Oh dear! So now awaiting Youfibre's contact. :-\

Wednesday 4/12
We are up and running again! Right hand now knows what Left hand is doing. New installation date of the 9th, with a fibre pull 2/3 days before that. :)

Long reply is getting an error code.

Here we go! ;)

As Roxette sang,” Crash Boom Bang!”
So unfortunately, we had a bit of a difference of opinion, Netomnia had me down for a pole supply, whereas I’m actual on an inground pipe! So, I hadn’t organised any wall authorisation from the Lease holder! Ops!
So, after a second coat of looking at, they had a go at trying to find the route to the pole, and would you believe it there doesn’t seem to be an actual clean route to the street I’m situated on. My new OR fibre joins a Consumer block in our pit, but then goes off in a weird direction to god know where!
So be all and end all is a cancelation and a map request to OR to try and understand what is going on. Then a request to my lease lord for a drop cable!
Hopefully in the new year, I'll have it sorted.
Think I know the route my OR Fibre takes, after a walk around the area. but don't think Netomnia would want to take it on!
Regards

Hello!

Rather than at least £63.50+VAT to Openreach Netomnia can get this without cost.

Your installer was bang out of order. He can't just bodge a drop cable off a CBT on top of a pole down it, through the pole bend and try and find an underground route to a random chamber and drop like that.

Your address should be marked as unserviceable for right now. Netomnia need to review. The Openreach plant maps show where poles are but not what's reachable from them which might well explain that confusion. If they've network underground in the next chamber along also all good. Netomnia know where their kit is and can happily drop a cable from the chamber next door but while they still think you're reachable just subject to wayleave they aren't going to replan.

The Openreach maps show duct to chambers pretty well but drops, especially once they get to private property, aren't clear so might well show a random straight line from a chamber into the property, maybe via another junction, and that's the lot.

Either way they won't show your fibre route. The maps don't show any cabling those maps are Openreach internal.

Yep, have an invoice I might activated!

Do you actually have access to the maps as it would be helpful?
I'm unsure as what they are allowed to do. But I know they can't reach the rear set of flats from the road.
So I'm think of assking Netomnia as to how they will access them.
Cheers

Heya,

No guarantee at all they've any plans to reach those flats, the availability checker is wrong and that's the part that needs review. Hopefully they're already aware based on the installer feedback but worth checking. Your property should not be showing as ready for service: it isn't.

If this needs more nudging after your contacting them I'll poke someone. The plant map ends where the duct from streets into the block does, irrelevant for landlord wayleave, and Netomnia both have that map and the details of which cables and kit are in each duct, chamber and on each pole alongside blockages or other issues they've hit. If it's not available to the nearby properties served underground outside your block best not get hopes up for a quick result.

Thanks,
Funny that it ends there, as there is a fibre going off to the rear of the property. Which I believe goes to the back of an industrial unit behind us and then joins back in on Hightown Road at the end of A525 by Eagles Meadow.
Will be contacting Build at Netomnia in the next couple of days to see if I can get them to acknowledge the issue. So will keep you informed.
Regards.

Your property being used as a route to get cable to an industrial estate would be quite unusual given the wayleave requirements that would entail.

If the cable goes through chambers on your private property everything going through them to the industrial estate needs wayleave unless there's an easement in place. That easement will be Openreach only and not of interest to Netomnia at the moment. Any reason to think that fibre cable belongs to Netomnia given you've seen in the pit outside and there's Openreach and that's about it?

Found where you are by the way: thank you.

LOL! it's the other way round!.
When YF/Net came to install they opened the pit, and there was my new shiny PN/OR fibre node. It disappears off to the Travis Perkins area down the bank. So some where there is a route. After walking the perimeter the only one I found is to the West as above. So we have a 6 node in our private pit and Flats 7 to 12 are down as unavailable on the Wholesale website.
Thanks for looking, I'll be applying for the map this weekend, so I can see myself what is going on then putting something into Netomnia. As I would prefer to be underground. Have already seen broken fibres in the area!
Thanks again.
Dwight.
