Bear in mind it is designed to be used with the original speedtest-cli, not the one in the package repo.

Interesting if ever want to diagnose performance without it going through your lan or client OS.

Also interesting for me is that this allows me to run a speedtest over 2.5gbps interfaces, as I am 2.5gbps from ONT <-> pfSense <-> switch. but rest of LAN is gigabit.

Both of these are on the firewall itself, first is cli which ran automatically when I accepted the gdpr, second is from the widget directly on the dashboard.  The PC maxes out lower over gigabit ethernet, however the PC also doesnt increase the latency during the test run, presumably as that little bit of unutilised internet capacity maintains idle levels of latency.

Nice find, thanks. My ms01 is running with  10gb lan and wan interface at the ont but  the profile is set at 2gb/2gb as waiting to upgrade to 8gb/8gb shortly.
My hombrew speed test tracker does provide slightly better results than direct of the ms01
