8gb/8gb hardware
« on: September 29, 2024, 07:10:55 PM »

Thought I would share my ms01 that I have configured for 8gb/8gb internet :o.. currently it has a x540 dual rj45 nic and runs pfsense. I modded the case cover to provide further cooling. The ont has a 10gb rj45 port. My switch is a xs1930 which has been excellent following a fault with my original switch which I wasted weeks on thinking my structured cabling or nics were at fault when it was the switch all along....

I'm waiting on a  cable from fs so I can use one of the sfp ports on the xs1930 from the x710 on the ms01.

I did have some random crashes on the ms01 in the early days, but since re-applying thermal paste and disabling items in the bios not required its been good since.

I guess you REALLY wanted to keep the x540 cool.
