ONT reference given, apparently no engineer is required, should just be a swap at the exchange headend, cabling stays the same all the way down.
Anyone done this yet, anyone know the downtime?
Nothing touched at the exchange either. It's all virtual routing changes making your traffic use a different cablelink on the L2S.
I've gone from BT Wholesale to Talktalk and back to BT Wholesale again and each time the was no noticeable downtime.
The connection went down and by the time I changed credentials from PPP to DHCP (or vice versa) it was good to go.
Talktalk Business will have your connection ready to go. Openreach will push the button that changes the routing and that's it. All that's required is you having the authentication setup at your end.
