After all the problems when Kitz was the subject of a total lack of careful Moderation, they have now blown it by upsetting the greatest technical contributor that still posted on a daily basis.

yep, I did see Milkes' post and it "still" makes me wonder as what the hell they are playing at.

I had a couple of posts removed recently, one of which basically as far as I could see was for no other reason than contradicting commenting to one of the mods with regards to his double standards of giving false information when either downloading or registering software.

I don't bother monitoring the site very much nowadays, except I see the amount of new threads is still diminishing rapidly.

Since the demise of email notifications I started using RSS Feeds, and although it's not 100% accurate, with the aid of FeedReader, it shows all of the posts, (or just any given part of the forum).

I hadn't seen Mikes post till you pointed it out, like OF I very rarely stay these days.
Why would they object to a link to File Hippo, even I know its a safe site for downloading and I rely on people like yourself to point me in the right direction in that respect and I would have thought they would be happy for others to do so as well.

I find their style of moderating ad hoc to say the least. On another forum I visit the Forum Editor is god and I mean GOD, but he is consistent we know what he will and will not tolerate, I rarely see any spam and there are no trolls.

The moderators on there have absolutely no idea how to do the job properly.
And they will only see things as 'I'm right, you're wrong' no matter what.

Basically, every-time any-one downloads from a CA/VNU link it would be recorded somehow that it originated from CA/VNU, therefore they get brownie points and possibly even revenue. (although they did state they do not get revenue for free downloads) but, the advertising of sites or products does not come free and therefore would produce revenue.

Have you also been upsetting them, because after your last post the thread is now LOCKED.

What I was going to add was that personally if it was me that left, other than for my own reason, then I would also want my title removed.

Why?
Because depending on the circumstances I would not like to be recognised by the site any longer.
Obviously a injustice seems to have been done, so why should they have the privilege of a well respected persons posts.
