Personally I have not had problems for weeks, all my posts appear without problems.

Having just read your most recent post Kitz, I can host the site and database if it helps with automated off site backups, it would still be behind a control panel, phpmyadmin etc. so the site can still be managed by yourself.

Failing that, if you give an idea of the shortfall, I will contribute via paypal recurring donations.

Thank you every one.  This really is something I'd held off saying because I wanted to be able to sort myself.
I think my main concern and first priority was getting the forum database sorted that got messed up during the migration.
Thank you Derpy for his kind offer and he will be added to the admin team to enable access to the forum files.
Thanks Chrys, I will certainly consider this when the database is in state for future migration.

Just to say all, I am looking into the issues and once I get a copy of the database sorted I can take a look at getting it fixed.

Testing £ '
& microsoft quotes (“ ” ‘ ’) which were the prior problematic chars.

A massive thank you to Derpy for his time spent tracking down collation error that's been bugging the forum since the GoDaddy migration.
Having seen the fix and now knowing what caused it, I'm fairly confident that the forum should now be displaying the correct char set.

I'm curious, what was the fix?  The cause seemed to be phpMyAdmin not setting the right collation during export, but when I was Googling the fix it seemed complicated when unable to just export again.

There were numerous things I did in an attempt to solve some of the inconsistencies of the migration. It would take me too long to give details of everything, but basically Id got to the stage where I thought Id fixed the collation error.. until I found out that unless you were logged  in, then the forum vanished and so I rolled back to the latin charset, which unfortunately still had the problems with a couple off chars.  As it turned out the fix was more specific to a bug with SMF than something wrong with the migration. Derpy found and completed the fix having focussed on the forum vanishing if your werent logged in.  There's a bit more info here:

The not being able to post yesterday was just a case of resetting permissions.
