I mean its not like it makes any difference.

If all the fibre currently runs to the other exchange, its likely they will provide to all properties from that exchange going forward so they can close the copper only exchange in the future.

You are right as it say Cuckoo Oak exchange is future closure!

Good news got email from openreach regional manager for West Midlands and he has confirmed that my area are expecting go live around October 2024 if all going well and no issues.

Exciting time now for FTTP

Can't wait

Will order FTTP 330/50 if it goes live.

Updated:

I have email Openreach via this site: https://www.openreach.com/forms/fibre-broadband-availability---customer-form last week and they have replied to me via email today I have checked your address and found there is a plan to bring full fibre to your house. The engineering work is scheduled by financial quarters and I can see the project that covers your address is scheduled to complete by the end of quarter 4 of 2024/2025. I realise this is still some way off and our plans and schedules can change but if this goes ahead as planned you should be able to order your full fibre broadband in early October 2024.

But not sure if they mean October 2025? Because of the wording - I realise this is still some way off. So, I guess more likely in 2025 not 2024. If it was in October 2024 live date, then that's great, if not, then it look likely in October 2025!

Got question to ask:

I know my area are in full fibre as planning - are they doing it via underground or better off on a new pole? As there seem load of houses in my area TF7 any postcode in last three end are all underground cable. There is no pole anywhere.

Some think pole are lots easier for OR to build full fibre rather than underground?

That entirely depends on what they decide is the best method.

If underground is already ducted then most likely that, if its not then they may lay duct, they may add a pole.  But if they were going to use a pole I would expect it would have been placed BEFORE the service is ready to order.

I would think matching how existing infrastructure is done is most likely.

I would expect that to mean by the end of March 2025.

I was told October 2025 not that long ago yet flying along at 1Gbps now…

I suppose it’ll be like Duke Nukem Forever

I don't mind March 2025 because my current G.fast contract expired in December this year.

Not surprised at all. Openreach has emailed me saying my address are not in planned now. Went to Openreach website it now saying Not Available (before was Build planned between now and Dec-2026)

I check other address post code they all gone! (Not Available)

What going on? Has Openreach giving up now!

Actually, you can ignore that date. They seemingly stick that date on everything now. I had that email a month ago and last week I ordered FTTP from AAISP...

Sadly Openreach has now removed from my address (Build planned between now and Dec-2026 to Not Available)  :-\

Annoying, but just be thankful you aren't stuck with a 40Mbps VDSL service with no G.Fast or mobile alternatives available. Saying that, it does everything I need it to but sometimes not as fast as I'd like it to.

Is this just your area?
In view of the amount of past correspondence and use of the checker its possible for them to remove data.  The checkers are meant to be a guide and didnt they say something about the dates could be liable to change.  If they are getting too many enquiries for an address, its not beyond the realms of possibility for them to stop supplying data. :/

It's partly my own fault for mouthing off to Openreach to be honest, I don't want your FTTP as I rather to have cheaper cityfibre or nexfibre. Don't want Openreach service, they sound like bite the bullet and removed me off the FTTP plan. Was saying in this forum here: https://forums.thinkbroadband.com/fibre/t/4762579-re-openreach-symmetric-1gbps1gbps-from-april-2025.html

As for G.fast - still connected to it but after December 2024 going to cease the line. Because I have very good EE (1 mobile) from 5G hub getting 250 to 450 down and 55 to 75 up from Band 1, 3, N78 but if I change to lock on Band 1, 3, N28 I getting 125 to 155 down and 105 to 125 up) but I was glad 1 mobile offer this unlimited data for 25 pound for 5G home broadband hub (but cheeky from 1 mobile do have hidden T&C's for personal usage not to excess 500GB in a single month!

I more than happy to have 5G Hub after christmas for home broadband. (this would saved me money from expensive G.fast)
