SoGEA 80/20 upgrading to SoGfast 160/30
« on: October 20, 2023, 09:42:54 PM »

Hi all

Hope you all very well. I am very well. Please be kind to me. I am very happy with SoGEA 80/20 over the year but it time to upgrading to SoGfast 160/30 with very good price with my ISP UnchainedISP. Don't worry folk I am not interested in Sogfast 330/50.

So I am going to stick with Sogfast 160/30 until 2026 when FTTP come along and swapped over to FTTP 160/30.

After your previous escapades with G.fast and all of the issues it brought I'm really not sure what to say other than good luck!

If the goal is to stop dwelling on line stats, then I'm concerned why this thread was started at all as there should be nothing that needs to be discussed.

Remember it says "Acceptable Range 95 to 154.62" I would think carefully before you commit to something that you will be obsessive over!!
It's not worth the money and hassle as you have an excellent connection already, and is going to make marginal difference at the end of the day.

Thanks all. The line was perfect fine, stable at 160/30 in 24 hours. No issues as the line has plenty of roomy from max data rate 221/37. So, it will be 160/30 for the rest of next 12 months!

Hope England can win tonight Rugby World Cup. Good luck England!

Could be worse - you could be one of those poor souls in Watford

@dee.jay

Thanks but my area never experience slowest than Watford but I do feel painful for those living in Watford area.

My router was healthy max rate 222/37 but capped at 159/29 - which it perfectly fine don't think it will ever reduced that and worsen than Watford lol. Gfast got vectoring and at present CRC, ES, SES are zero since day 1 of installed, very clean bill.

But it so strange from checking of btw and ofcom site, they estimated lower of 189/183 while the router stats 222.

Have a good day everyones.

So I see on one of the other places you are telling people you have 241/41 so that lasted the full 12 months on 160 as the "perfect" speed....
