Fibre design packs
« on: August 11, 2023, 12:17:25 PM »

Howdy

Anyone know what these are?

Apparently, this is holding up the rest of the FTTP installation into our MDU. CF32.

Thanks :)

Haven't been involved in MDU, other than leaving fibre capacity at the basement-box, or if no access available to this ... the nearest underground box outside the premises.

But I would imagine they are very similar to a PON build 'Fibre Build Pack' ??

These contain all level of information, such as the FNC's (how to lay out the fibre joint and splicing details), the type of fibre cable to use in which sections (we call them WP's or Work Points - the basement box will be WP1 for example), the customers addresses, a light-loss recording document and the nearest hospitals, police station etc etc.

Build packs, define how to build out streets, MDU's etc.

What Black Sheep said. :)

Curious to know where you are with that CF32 postcode... (same as me)

We're a block of 12 flats. Flat 1 - 4 all sorted.

The rest of us been waiting like bellends for months :D

To look at it's physically all one building but I think it might have been chopped up into three lots.
