Emergency Alert!

Why the stupid American voice on the new Government emergency alert???  Didn't realise we are now the 52th state or whatever!  >:D

Maybe it's your phone, mine just made a siren sound until I cancelled them?

Wife's iPhone sounded early with a siren and message.  :-\

My iPhone and iPad nothing at all that means I will not get a 'Nuclear Warning' although I might hear the bang  :hmm:

I have a set of 6 fixed IP's From  Eclipse  isp.BT ADSL2(G992.3) line>HG612 as a Modem, Bridge, WAN Not Bound to LAN1 or 2 + Also have FTTP (G.984) No One isp Fixed IP >Dual WAN pfSense (Hardware Firewall and routing).> Two WAN's, Ethernet LAN, DMZ LAN, Zyxel GS1100-24 Switch.

The siren was only supposed to last 10 seconds, which is what mine did. If yours carried on after that then something wasn't working properly. Maybe that's what led to the voiceover?

It didn't work on mine, Three.

I'm not sure if being connected to the wifi stopped it?

It didn't work on mine, Three.

I'm not sure if being connected to the wifi stopped it?

Worked on my S10 on Three, didn't work on my mums Pixel 4 on O2.  Wouldn't be shocked for her to get it in 3 days time, they've done that with SMS before (though obviously this isn't SMS, it should be priority).

I also was surprised it wasn't louder.

As I recall there used to be a way to send network messages to phones that pop-up like this, sort of like a special priority SMS.

If you  check settings there is a text to speech option for this, turned off on my phone by default. Worked fine for myself and my wife  on EE and  Samsung phones.

Nothing on my personal Three phone and my work O2 based phone no warning either - how reliable!

My son got it on EE.

I didn't get it on my phone on WiFi calling.
