Actually have a pole at the end of my street in Wrexham, where the fibres are being broken by the wind. :(
There's a number hanging down from the pole currently. :(
It's a metal hollow one with the disc on the top if anyone wants to know.
Thankfully I'm ground fed. ;)

After some contact with Openreach one of the very helpful team arranged to bring it up with one of the local high ups and he arranged to get a visit from a couple of engineers. All done from the property side after a visit. Basically up the ladder and noticed the clamp wasn't clamped tight and the cable appeared to be pulling from the wall and through the unclamped clamp.

The chap took out some cleats, pulled cable through some more and then fastened the clamp up. He said if that fails then a new clamp next.

Will keep an eye on it, especially when the wind picks up. There is still some slack but not to the extent of before where it drooped a lot.

Will monitor.

Lucky, mine is pulling away from the wall since they tightened it at the pole.

Perhaps raise this with Openreach and ask to re do it.

As for my one, I'll keep an eye on it and see how it goes. I know there is still a little movement in the wind but not as huge looking as it was. I also understand that they are not to be bar tight and need a little slack for movement. Even the Openreach engineers said. But before, considering it was not actually clamped shut either the cable at property side it was extremely slack and pulling hard and tight from the cleats on wall.

The only reason I was concerned with mine is snow caused it to pull so low it was touching a neighbours shed roof.  Its right at the lowest point on the cable, the engineer actually struggled with that shed getting the cable installed as it kept getting stuck on the corner of the roof.  He had to pull it to one side while I pulled it through the clamp at the house.
