Talk Talk
« on: December 26, 2022, 09:25:41 PM »

Has anyone heard what Talk Talk, my interest is really in TTB, is doing about the copper PSTN withdrawal? Been looking at various options for ATA's and wiring my extensions into an RJ45 on an ATA when the time comes. I would ask TTB but I prefer written communications so I can come back to it and they are mainly phone contact.

They're currently testing a VoIP solution, and are considering releasing a router with built in VoIP like the BT router.

Heard nothing since 2021.

Yes found a link while looking, https://www.talktalkbusiness.co.uk/partners/news-and-insight/news/everything-you-need-to-know-about-ip-voice-voip/ Doesn't say a lot so have emailed CS at TT Group.

It would be weird if an ISP called TalkTalk had no plans for talking :)

I expect a VOIP solution is in the works.

Only had a brief scan of that document but I suspect that the consumer arm of TT will continue to ignore VOIP and IPv6 as they have been doing now for ages.
