Author Topic: Do I need to let my landlord know about a broadband reconnection?  (Read 1085 times)

Hi,

I've just moved into a new place for the first time and the new place has had its Openreach FTTC connection disconnected. I was wondering if I need to let my landlord know that I would like to reconnect the line (as a Master Socket is present but no dial tone)?

Do you pay your landlord for utilities or do you pay directly?

Assuming you will be using the same master socket, there is no need to inform your landlord.

If its not mentioned in your agreement I would just order, the socket is already fitted.

Might be useful to see what the connection capabilities are for your address - https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome
