XGS
« on: July 26, 2022, 09:03:39 PM »

Hello!

This is the same username as I use on Think Broadband. I thought this technical niche of the Internet might be a good place to discuss activation of a 10 Gbit/s broadband service within the UK and any issues I hit.

I promise I'll try and keep it interesting but thought I should briefly introduce myself rather than randomly posting into the relevant section.

Glad to meet you.

Welcome to the kitz forum.  :)

I thought the name looked familiar. I'm sure you will also recognize some of our regular members who also post in the "other place".  ;)

Given I've been outed elsewhere, not the TBB post but somewhere I'm not going to link to, hi everyone!

Hello again :)  I think some of us may have guessed due to your expertise and knowledgeable posts.

PS.  I edited your hyperlink as Linkedin was being silly and sending me on a circular journey back to login.  I included the uk subdomain which worked ok for me...  that is until I tried going via a forum link and now its doing the same thing with that one too.  ::)

It does that to me all the time, its extremely annoying.  So much so I had thought it had stopped letting you view profiles at all when logged out.

I'm not sure what they're doing..  it's changed yet again and now the uk subdomain url is visible again, even when following the link.
Granted there's a login overlay first where it says "Sign in to view XGS's full profile", but I can ignore it and view the public info perfectly fine.

Yesterday it virtually ended blocking everything by looping back to the dedicated login page when U'd followed the link from this forum.  Yet just prior to that I'd at first been able to view the uk domain page without even getting the login overlay until I tried to navigate elsewhere on the site.
