Hello! I just read this thread! I did upgrade from 17a to 35b profile a month ago. The distance between my endpoint and the dslam is approximately 500m. The dslam is a Huawei Broadcom one. Initially, I was using a Fritz 7590 router which has an infineon chipset. Needless to say is that I had constant disconnections and dsl resyncs. I switched to a Fritz 7582 which has a Broadcom chipset and the line is rock solid without any disconnections and resyncs. I am getting a 84/22 Mbps down/up sync (GINP is also activated). My suggestion is to refrain from using an infineon based router with a broadcom dslam.
