REIN Question
« on: June 01, 2022, 03:31:04 PM »

Hi All

Just a couple of questions regarding REIN/SHINE etc:

- does it affect both downstream and upstream in equal measures, or is it possible for it to affect only downstream?

- does it affect all carriers/frequencies in equal measures, or only some? (I can see that SNR of my higher frequencies goes up and down a lot, but not the lower ones)

Thank you.

It can affect either up or down, but usually down. And yes certainly random frequency depending on the cause of the interference.

I had SHINE last week that affected downstream only, not up. And only one if my three adjacent bonded lines (all at the one site). The latter is something I find very difficult to understand, unless there is a bad joint that makes a detector.
