Anyone using Cuckoo (FTTP)?
skyeci:
Just wondered if anyone is with cuckoo for fttp?
I am ready to place an order with either zen to upgrade or look for a new provider.
Using my own opnsense router is a must.
Thanks

Worth considering that any smaller ISP at this point is likely going to charge a monthly fee for a static public IP address, if they offer one at all.
Its a really weird situation right now where an ISP can end up charging more for a public IP address, than it costs to rent a VPS that comes with one as standard, simply due to who has the biggest allocation.
skyeci:
Yup agreed but using dynamic dns on my opnsense router I no longer need a fixed ip from my isp for what I need to do..
I like the idea of a 12 month contract on cuckoo rather than 24 months with zen presently
Alex Atkin UK:
What I meant was a lot of ISPs now its CG-NAT unless you pay for a static public.
Also I checked earlier and Zen is 18 months.
