Me and sister both got Cityfibre letters in posts, did they lie on the 9 months thing hmmm, time will tell.  Wouldnt surprise me if its still the "we're coming" but then a year later no service still.

Sounds similar, August 2022 here has changed to March 2023 at present.

If is any more physical works needed, I might be delayed for a year, council doing a 54 week road improvement program now, so access would likely be difficult.

Will be interesting to see if you get activated earlier than my street, my street was done months ago.  Please keep us updated. :)

Sorry, dude!

How do you even get a sane search now?  The CityFibre checker just redirects me to TalkTalk offering OR services - they don't even mention that these are not via their network, its just obvious given they aren't here yet and the upload is OR speed.

I just did a search, it told me it was availabile and listed the ISPs that were available and their download speeds.

Wakefield is now part of their national network, it's part of their wider West Yorkshire network, and has all the national ISP options available alongside a couple of smaller, more local ones. There was a fair list there.

So I guess they've given up saying it will be "coming soon" and just try to sell you TalkTalk if its not live yet.  That seems a really stupid way to promote their service.

So I guess they've given up saying it will be "coming soon" and just try to sell you TalkTalk if its not live yet.  That seems a really stupid way to promote their service.

They got promotional issues, I had Zen pushing me when the network was nowhere near live, Vodafone, and now Cityfibre letters through the door, but its pointless getting someone's interest when it could be a year or more away.

It would seem the planning team cant even keep their own marketing team reliable info.

Not advertising TT here though. on checker I get green screen same as XGS with this message.

Darn it, I think it might have been me goofing and accidentally clicking TalkTalk instead of CityFibre lol because its promoted by Google above CityFibre.

This is the problem when your fingers don't work right so you end up Googling instead of typing the URL in directly.

I really need to change my default search provider, Google is almost useless these days.

For the curious they are offering 10 providers at my address.

Vodafone are at the top of the list, the rest are Giganet, Octoplus, No One, A&A, Zybre, Yayzi, IDNet, FactCo and Link.

I have been passed you enquiry regarding full fibre.

The good news is we do have an agreement with the Housing Association to pre-wire your block and have completed the survey.

Unfortunately, we have to amend the design as Openreach have installed cabling in exactly the same place where we had planned to fit the fibre.

I have been told that we should have everything completed in 2 months but this is due to the 1 month notice we have to give the Housing Association and the residents ahead of any works being carried out..

Apparently I can sign up with vodafone, zen, giganet or talktalk today, or wait until end of August to be connected to the core Cityfibre network and choose from anyone else.

I'm going to wait.
