I don't think they even mentioned this on the 12.3.1 update page, it seemed to just be features I don't use so I wasn't in a rush to apply it.

I did in the end, and also installed the Alpha of Asahi Linux on my Macbook.  No GPU acceleration and despite that its insanely fast.  Mind you, no audio either.

Seems to have fixed the battery drain on my iPhone se 2016.
