Is roadworks.org down?
« on: March 31, 2022, 01:20:21 AM »

I'm trying to figure out if roadworks.org is down.

I've tried to connect to it via FF and Chrome. I notice when I go to the roadworks address it changes to one.network and then I just get a blank white screen (really useful Avast  ).

But I've just noticed that in the Avast notifications its saying one.network is an malware url . So I'm thinking Avast is blocking the site.

Can anyone who doesnt use Avast still see the site?

It's still down for me. Though if I disable Avast I can get to it.

I've submitted a false positive report to Avast.

I've noticed one.network triggers 2 site virus checkers on the virustotal website. Hopefully Avast will do their own checks and not rely on that website.

Also odd is how it says 2 vendors but in the list only shows 1.  I have reported it as a false positive to that vendor, CRDF.

I just checked it on that site and now CRDF is clean. But G-Data is saying it has malware.

I wonder what Avast is listed as on that list. I'm sure they used to have an entry.

On the Avast alert notification it says Url:Blacklist

There doesn't seem to be a way to exclude url's from the blocks, only file exemptions.

Indeed.

You receive this confirmation after your request for a URL that is a false positive.
We are pleased to inform you that the domain name "one.network" have been removed from our database.

Thank you kindly note that the spread of the new corrected database may take some time (about 4 hours).

G-Data wasn't even listed when I checked, but I've now reported that one too.

It seems to be back working again.

I had reported it to Avast. But the blacklist must have gotten removed before he started testing as he couldnt recreate the alert.

It's odd how one.network got on there. I wonder if its a similar name to another malicious website or something.

Anyways, all is good. I can continue to watch the road works around the area.. the modern form of bird watching = road work traffic signs  ;D

I would highly recommend going via https://mast-works.davwheat.dev/ instead of direct  ;)

That is a useful site. Bookmarked appropriately.

Thank you.

Another indirect site serving one.network data is that of Essex Highways. Even though I am not in that county it offers extra layers such as live traffic.
