FTTP on Mexfield etc is definitely Openreach. Just waiting for those CBTs

Community Fibre are going down Standen Road, splicing the fibre into the CBTs.

They have closed the road and have a hoist, so I guess they will be putting them at the top of the poles as well.

Nothing is showing on one.network though, so I wonder if they have told the Council!

Community Fibre did the same to Pirbright Road today and both streets are available for ordering via their website.

Mexfield: they are installing the CBTs today!

Interesting to see how long until they go live.

As above, Community Fibre went live either the same day or within 24 hours.

I suspect Openreach need to fit a new PON before Pirbright sees any CBTs.

Replingham Road has them busy fitting tobys (they are fed underground)

Mexfield has been done now, hopefully FTTP should be available to these roads I would think very soon!

Instalcom who seem to be doing most of the fibre installation work in this area for Openreach are still very visible in the Southfields/West Hill area.

OR also have quite a few jobs planned over the next few weeks for installing new duct and clearing blockages on the roadworks website.

Its well over six months, maybe even a year since some areas round here were fibred - nothing is available to order yet.

I kinda feel like the people who got fibre ducted then were able to order within a few weeks are the exception rather than the rule.

Replingham Road (or at least part of it)  and the 1 CBT installed on Pirbright Road have gone live for orders.

Am surprised their initial rollout wasn't for a wider area covering more of the exchange.

The upgrade offers on the BT website for the person I know who lives on Replingham Road are very odd though and seriously undercut by Community Fibre..

They are currently out of contract on Fibre 1 but receive upto 80MB due to the free speed upgrades BT gave a while back

Yes, have spotted FTTP went live on Crowthorne Close last week as well.

In Pirbright Road, the one pole they CBT'd previously has gone live as above and on Monday one other pole was "pre-CBT'ed - though they left two poles in between alone, despite having run fibre to them.

A lot more ducting work seems to be planned.. definitely making progress though. Even if there is no rhyme or reason that one can see!

They pre CBTed the remaining telegraph poles on Pirbright Road yesterday and are now ducting the road between the last DP and the properties which have never had a DP..

Interesting to see how the tennis impacts the rollout locally.. the number of planned civil works has certainly reduced..

Last Friday, the CBTs were put in place and they had finished the new ducting.

As of this morning, the whole of Pirbright Road can order OR FTTP!

I've always been particularly interested in this road, as it is served by 2 PCPs.

One where customers where fed from underground who got good FTTP speeds and the majority who got slower speeds and were served by pole with that PCP being much further away.

The two sides were always separated but the new ducting has finally connected the sides together in ORs network.

Community Fibre had already connected the pole premises to their network. I presume they will be along shortly to take advantage of ORs new ducting as well!

Hopefully you won't need to wait much longer.

Black sheep has an interesting post here about the order in which Openreach usually light fibre..

OR are about a month ahead of the forecast they provided list year in enabling this area
