Doesn’t look like the CBTs are up yet but fibre is now on the poles and blue rope has gone

Fibre has appeared on Mexfield Road! Overhead ready

Wow, that was quick!

Still waiting here for both the fibre and CBT - it's been months since the blue rope appeared.

I did see them laying fibre down East Hill/St John's Hill yesterday though, so I suspect Battersea will be added to the list of exchanges sooner rather than later

Blue rope was only there a week or two.

Any ideas how far away we are from being able to order now?

As has been said many times before, could be weeks, could be months, there is no hard rule.

Openreach replaced a pole today on Pirbright Road with no notice. Might explain why they haven't installed fibre/CBT down the road yet though.

OR also have a lot of civils in the next few weeks on the Southfields Grid.

I've previously been told it should be available by the end of July. Given the amount of work around Wandsworth all at different stages, it seems like OR are going to do a big switch on rather than individual PONs when ready.

I guess they have to hope that Community Fibre don't gain all the early adopters as I gather that are happier to allow customers to order when individual areas are RFS.

Yes I think you're right, they're getting mostly everywhere up to the same level it seems.

I wouldn't be so sure.  They ran the fibre across the road from me just over two weeks ago and now its showing as WBC FTTP 300 is available.  My pole had the planning permission application show up on Thursday, as it needs ducting.

There are also other areas that they did prior that have active customers already.

I think what might take a while is the exchange upgrade to support the Gigabit service, which is somewhat annoying as I was planning to go straight for that.

Another thing is I think my exchange already had FTTP for a new build for quite a while, so they already had the equipment to support it.  An exchange with no existing FTTP may be waiting on hardware as due the silicon shortage its in short supply.  So really, I don't think its some master plan, they're doing it as fast as they can per area.

And indeed, fibre has been run to the remaining telegraph poles today but without the CBTs.

I don't believe any areas in Wandsworth have yet gone live with native FTTP, hence why I think they are going for a large initial launch (not comprehensive though)

Wandsworth is a Openreach Handover Point but I understand is on the list to be closed so I expect the FTTP headend to be elsewhere..

I ran Zens checker today for an address across the road, it too said 300 is available.  Ducting for my DP is due over the next few days, will be curious how quickly they get fibre in after that.

@gt94sss2 looks like all poles are going up to the stage of pre-CBT.

OR are installing fibre down Replingham Road today.

In addition, at the end of last week, OR stripped the external/protective cover and exposed the fibre on Pirbright Road. Hopefully, the weather won't damage the fibre! (Pic attached)

Also, at the end of last week, a relative saw Community Fibre on Pirbright Road and was told "it will be active in a week but they will send letters in 3 months" - looks as if they were checking the ducts.

Standen Road also has CF CBTs appearing (2nd pic)

Usage of [img]https://ibb.co/V25MdXj[/img] and [img]https://ibb.co/dr8F8bV[/img] will not work.

However usage of [url=https://ibb.co/V25MdXj]image one[/url] and [url=https://ibb.co/dr8F8bV]image two[/url], on separate lines, will give the following --

Then left-clicking on the thumbnail displayed will bring up the full-size image.

There's literally the BBCode on those pages that will do the job.

Looks as if I was wrong. The fibre belongs to Community Fibre and their CBTs appeared today - attached to the fibre I took a picture of a couple of days ago but not yet installed at the top of the poles.

Looks like OR might lose a lot of customers here, if they don't hurry up!
