There is a local stretch of pavement which I infrequently use and, last August, when passing that way I noticed there was a small excavation relating to a gas supply. The work was completed and everything was subsequently made good.
Earlier this month (December) I noticed a spray-painted marking on the rectangle of new tarmac, originating from the making-good of the above work. Right in the centre of the rectangle was a neat white
"X" and written underneath was five letters
"BT MTS". I am aware of "Basil Treem's Mole Trapping Service" but, as no mole hills are visible, I presume that is not the meaning . . .
Any suggestions, please?
