Virgin Media roadworks
« on: February 26, 2022, 07:51:41 PM »

Does anyone have any idea what NK117HENEG may refer to?

I see Virgin Media have a roadworks job on the end of my street yet they have no current presence on this end of the street.

Could this just to be related to the nearby Vodafone/O2 mast somehow, or is something else going on?

Its curious as I'm fairly sure the backhaul to that mast goes the opposite side of the road so wouldn't need works on this side.  Unless of course they are fitting new backhaul leading back to the VM network, though I see no other works that would allow them to run fibre back to their existing coverage area.

They do Project Lightning work for VM in some areas.

They are also doing work as part of the XGSPON overbuild - unblocking ducts, overlaying where necessary.
