Revk popped up in AAISP IRC channel earlier tonight, and was asked about the Firebricks.
"The good news is the Fb9000 look to be doing the performance we want. The bad news is making an actual sellable product takes forever when there is a global chip shortage. But good news is A&A do not need to wait for production fb9000 to be using them, and when we have some, we can upgrade the services we offer to higher speeds. Soon"
He also mentioned other new models on the horizon:
"The FB3100 to succeed the FB2900 with multi gigabit throughput and maybe a 10G SFP. The FB12000 to be multi 10 or 40G links. Both of those are a bit blue sky for now. But the chip sets look awesome. I am keen to "pipeline" the next gen on this ASAP as we end up behind the times. All same code. All ARM based"
