Strange I did update it and thats all I can find , do you log in as supervisor ?

this on was John Lewis , I've updated it but thats all . I've got the dumpmdm file and found supervisor but no sign of a password ?

It should be in there as that's how I got mine. Usually the Supervisor password is eight characters long and uses hexadecimal digits (ie 0-9 and A-F).

Got it ( I think ) only difference logging in with it I've noticed is I can change the privileges for admin etc , still can't get to your broadband extended  setup

I just don't get what is happening here as I see you have a 'WAN Status' tab in your Broadband settings that I don't have and yet other settings are missing. Can you please check and confirm which firmware version you are running - mine is 1.00(AAKL.28)C0, which I believe is the newest available.
Once in as Supervisor you should also find that the TR069/TR064 settings are available so you can disable them if you want to.
As a point of note my router was also originally a John Lewis Broadband one so I'm surprised at the differences.

you could be on to something here , I did an update 1.00(AAKL.28)C0 but just checking now it's showing 1.00(AAKL.0) ? got to admit after the update all worked ok and I never checked what had happened

Finally got it right  it's now on the latest firmware and was able to change all the settings . Many thanks for your help and patience .Now to see how it copes with my line

Great news - let us know how you get on.
I have a soft spot for my VMG8924-B10A as having tried many other routers this one always ends up back on my line as it just performs the best.

Oh well it was good while it lasted  4 days in the Zyxel was behaving well then this morning Wifi wouldn't connect  . It was broadcasting but same problem of incorrect password , so the old Billion is back into service until I decide my next plan of action .

I'm afraid I don't know what to suggest next as the behaviour is really very odd. I'm running the same firmware on my 8924, albeit on VDSL, and have never seen this issue.
