Leo dictionary
« on: May 08, 2019, 01:47:39 AM »

I absolutely love the LEO English-German-English dictionary and I use it all the time. I saw an appeal from them for donations, triggered by the fact that my ad-blocker had cleaned all junk off the site, so I did indeed as asked and gave them a donation.

My god, if things like this had been around when I was at school forty years ago. Wiktionary too, which is stunning for etymology, for which I use it every day. Wiktionary is now even amazingly good for Scottish Gaelic too (the alternatives being SMO stordata and the stunning web-based Dwelly aka ‘God’) and Wiktionary is really getting there for Old Irish too.

[This thread is old but still relevant.]

For Scots Dictionaries of the Scots Language is a useful resource.
