POTS Filter for xDSL
« on: August 16, 2022, 07:28:47 AM »

Hello Team,

Greetings!!

I have a query reg POTS Filter for xDSL.

On a VDSL2 35b line, can we use a POTS splitter that supports 30MHz.

Regards,
Usha

Welcome to the forum Usha!

We don't use VDSL 35b here in the UK but my understanding of the splitters we use is that the filter is only on the POTS side and blocks the VDSL signal from the POTS circuit. If your 30MHz splitter is doing the same thing then I imagine it would work just fine.

Welcome to the forum!

I think that’s correct, because I don’t have a telephone and so I don’t use filters at all. Mind you this is only slow ADSL2 not VDSL2.
