PS    Had a thought.

Would be interesting to see if you are able to perform a tracert to 80.81.192.239 which is one of godaddy's edge routers.

Email from IDNET

Hi Shaun,

The sites are reachable from our network. It may be the server has blocked your IP address for some reason or perhaps a caching issue within the router. It might be worth resetting your router to factory default settings and reconfiguring it from scratch.

Kind regards,

Brian

As someone else asked, have you tried going back to the original router or the VMG1312-B10D using its VDSL modem rather than the HG612?

Also as mentioned, check what IP address you are getting.  As the only way I can possibly think this is happening is if there is some sort of routing error for certain IP addresses on IDnet.

Are you using the HG612 as a router, if not what are you using as the router?

Just to add a datum point, a traceroute to 80.81.192.239 just times out for me, a TalkTalk user, as expected.

On Zen all traffic to this location is immediately dropped. Looks like a BGP ROA/RPKI issue.

The range 80.81.192.0/21 is announced by 3 AS numbers (AS1257, AS52320 & AS61568), each announcement is signed but invalid. Looks like the signature/ROA is claiming AS0 is the correct origin? Looks like any network that validates announcements will drop traffic to this range.

glad its now working

would you be able to post a tracert to forum.kitz.co.uk so we can see your routing (I suspect you will match very closely to roseway and not nnt)

Many thanks
