Incorrect login or password

Recently I changed my router’s admin password after a security warning. Today I visited DSLStats and saw that the login name or password was incorrect. I changed the password, but still the message persists.
Please help, Guys!

Have you stopped and restarted DSLstats since you changed the password?

A thought: just noticed TAP-Windows Adapter V9 was somehow listed. I do not use VPN and it can cause trouble with no VPN use.

I've just had a thought. You said that you changed the password after a security warning. Where did that warning come from, and did you respond to the originator?

And of course I have to ask - are you absolutely sure that you have the password correct now, and that you didn't type it originally with caps lock on, or something like that?

. If  i change a password I note it in a notepad file from which I copy and paste to the relative target. It is also saved in Chrome.

Tried uninstalling  v6.5.9then replacing v6.5, but my chosen Zyxel password is still rejected.
Format of word used  is a a a a n n n n: a= latter. n= number.

Assume telnet is still enabled and working on the router?
Nothing at all appears in DSLstats, nor can I locate telnet in the VMG8924-B10A.

It's in Maintenance>Remote MGMT on the 8924.
You can test it in Windows or Linux command line (might need to add telnet to Windows components as it's not there by default).

Telnet client is ticked in l/h column, but WAN and Trust Domain are blank.
Windows shows Telnet ticked.
I' m ignorant as to what comes after telnet in the command line.  :-[

Slogged nearly all yesterday to achieve connection without avail, getting warnings of problem with network adapter and confusing details from Windows. I gave up, thinking the Zyxel may have popped its digiclogs.

Unfortunately this has forced me onto the Plusnet Hub and I can't recall on what that's based for installing Lowen's Routerstats.
The Plusnet will be c. 8% slower, so suggestions for something superior may no come amiss.

There is a somewhat cut down version of RouterStats specifically for the BT Hub5A, Plusnets Hub One being a re-badged version of this.

Have used this very briefly on PN Hub One after conversion from ADSL to VDSL service, works and probably as good as it gets wth the Lantiq chip set without major firmware re-flashing.
