Why do I need to enter my password so many times??
« on: November 11, 2021, 08:24:02 PM »

I have a workstation with Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS, I'm logging via RDP from a Windows machine, and after entering the RDP credentials I then have to enter my password a further 6 times, which is ridiculous, and idea's why???

  • Authentication is required to create a color profile
  • Authentication is required to refresh system repositories
  • Authentication is required to create a color managed device
  • Authentication is required to refresh system repositories
  • Authentication is required to refresh system repositories
  • Authentication is required to refresh system repositories

and yes I am entering my password correctly each time.

To answer my own question, just in case anyone else has this annoying issue, see this page https://devanswers.co/how-to-fix-authentication-is-required-to-create-a-color-profile-managed-device-on-ubuntu-20-04-20-10/

Worked perfectly.

Actually its now broken other things, can't mount drives for example, should have read the comments, now to work out how to remove it.
