Is the (ECI equipped) cabinet, to which both of your lines are connected, in a position where it could be demolished by an out-of-control vehicle?

Looking at your TBB ping plots, it is clear that both lines were affected at exactly the same time.

I remember you suggesting this to me and it turned out to be exactly that. :)

Currently on 249 days uptime, praying for no more problems before FTTP.

Alex please keep us up to date if you find out what the issue is.

Land line is still working, so probably not that unless its a teflon tie pair.  :D  Is it too much to hope the ECI has blown up and they will replace it with Huawei?   ::)

Ah, telephony is still operational. So the tie-cables are still intact.

The only other possible causes are a localised AC supply problem, which implies that the hardware had been running on its batteries until they were drained, or a failure in the DC power distribution to the ECI M41 MSAN.

Plusnet line has just come back, booo:
DSLAM/MSAN VID:      IFTN

Zen needed the HH5a rebooting for some reason then it too came back.

So it was an approximate three hour outage.

Gotta admit I love having the 4G backup, it was only when my server lost connectivity (its routed exclusively over DSL) that I knew anything was wrong.  I was having a nap when it started, mum was blissfully unaware.

For some reason the VoIP wont reconnect over 4G though, not sure what that's about.  I don't actually use it yet, its just there in preperation for the future.
